Grief Intervention & Support

beginning the healing process...

Each person’s grieving process is unique to them. When a person is ready to move through their grief, there are many techniques that can help accelerate their grieving process. Sometimes, one just needs someone to listen, while they talk freely about their loss… without judgement. Because we all grieve differently, even family members may experience the stages of grief at various times, often making it difficult to understand what the other person may be feeling. Instead, it may be a better choice in the beginning to speak with someone who has experience with grief and healing,

Here we may begin with ‘emptying out.’ With love and compassion, Peg quietly holds space for you, allowing you to express whatever you need to say about the loved one/s you are grieving.

There’s no judgement... crying is optional (I always have tissues nearby), and the healing can begin.

While some may need just a few sessions, others may require multiple sessions over weeks, months, or longer.

Take all the time you need… there's no time limit for grief... and there's never any rush…

Even when you don’t feel like getting up and moving, taking it one step at a time can make it manageable.

Are you ready to take that first step?

90/120 min recommended for the first session… while follow-up sessions (below) may be 60-90-120 min. BOOK A SESSION BELOW NOW

Do not stand at my grave and weep...

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamonds glint on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there. I did not die.

losing our beloved pets...

Losing a beloved pet is a heart-wrenching experience that resonates deeply with many. Their absence can cast a shadow of loneliness, especially if they were the sole companion in the household. For older adults, pets often become integral parts of their daily routine, providing not just companionship but purpose, exercise, and a sympathetic ear. The void left behind by their departure can be profound, leaving one feeling adrift and, at times, questioning their own significance.

our pets are family too...

For families, the family pet holds a special place, serving as a steadfast confidant for children as they grow, offering a listening ear devoid of judgment. They become cherished playmates, splashing in puddles, snuggling under blankets, or purring lullabies during times of illness. Their presence becomes woven into the fabric of daily life, greeting us eagerly after long days at work or offering comfort with a gentle nuzzle or affectionate purr.

Whether it's the loyal canine, the affectionate feline, or even the majestic horse, our animal companions hold a unique and irreplaceable role in our lives. Their loss is keenly felt, and the grieving process can be challenging.

it's ok to grieve their loss...

Their loss is keenly felt, and the grieving process can be challenging. However, having someone to confide in, someone who can witness our tears with compassion and understanding, can mark the first step towards healing. Remember, healing takes time, and it's okay to take it one step at a time, without rushing the process.

I am here... when you are ready... there's never any rush...

60/90/120 min sessions available.

Grief...

"The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not 'get over' the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same nor would you want to."

Elizabeth Kubler-Ross and David Kessler

"Peg is very comforting, knowledgeable and easy to talk with. In the short time I have known her she is helping me to heal and deal with my grief from the loss of my young daughter." ~ Pam S
